Haryana Pollution Control Board (HPCB) has not received any action plan from malls and other showrooms of Gurgaon who were given the show cause notice for polluting the environment.

CV Singh regional officer of HPCB claimed that they have submitted the action plan but sources said that still few malls didn't submit it.

On March 21st State Pollution Control Board gave notice to big builders and owner of malls, but they didn't show any interest. When HPCB threatened them of strong action then they agreed to submit action plan, but even after two months HPCB is still waiting for action plans from a few malls.

"However, malls had assured us that they will install Monitoring Unit as early as possible," said C V Singh, Regional officer of HPCB.

HPCB had conducted a survey in which they found that the generators used by Malls and Showrooms were the main cause of air pollution in the city. "They are using 1000kv generato, which affected the air quality badly," said Singh.

After survey Board emphasized that pollution level should not exceed more than 75 Particle Per Millimeter (PPM) but sources said that most of the malls didn't agreed to this. Because every malls and big showrooms whether its in industrial area or commercial are using 1000kv Generator, so to maintain 75 PPM for them is d-ifficult.

More than 68 malls and showrooms including MGF and DT were given notices for polluting the environment. In this notice they all have been directed not to use 1000kv generators.
