Mandi Gobindgarh to be made pollution-free

Tribune Reporters Fatehgarh Sahib, July 11 The district administration has chalked out a comprehensive plan to make Mandi Gobindgarh pollution-free. This was stated by Kanwalpreet Brar, Deputy Commissioner, Fatehgarh Sahib, while presiding over a meeting of district officials and the pollution control board here on Tuesday. The DC said there were 102 induction furnaces in the town, of which 60 were in operation while 28 have upgraded their air pollution devices.

Six furnaces have been directed to immediately install new devices. She said there were 342 rolling mills, of which 245 were operational. All rolling mills have installed energy saving devices.
