NOIDA: The Noida Authority has issued notices to 18 builders for creating dust pollution in the district. It also issued a fine of Rs 50,000 to two builders for causing air pollution in Sector 74.
The action has been taken for violating the norms of National Green Tribunal."The planning cell has fined two builders in Sector 74, Ajnara and Supertech, for NGT violations," deputy CEO Saumya Srivastava told TOI.
Meanwhile, the authority on Sunday sprinkled water using tankers on Maharaja Agrasen Marg, Sector 71-51 intersection and in Sector 78 opposite to MahagunModerne apartments to clear the arterial roads of dust.
On Master Plan-III road near Hoshiarpur village, a mechanical sweeping machine is used to clear the road.
The administration has also decided to shut the hot-mix plants where readymade building material is prepared for construction sites, for the next seven days following a meeting of pollution control, health department, Noida Authority officials with the district magistrate.
