Ahmedabad: The Centre for Environment Education (CEE) will host the 12th Conference of Youth (COY) in association with Indian Youth Climate Network (IYCN) and Heinrich Boll Stiftung (HBF) from November 4 to 6.
The organizers said that COY is an annual event that happens before the yearly UN conference of parties (COP) to bring more youth voices to the COP. The COY in Ahmedabad will be among 24 global events and the only one in Asia this year.
"The objective of local COY12 India is to create awareness about climate change among youth, provide youth with a platform to learn about climate change, share experiences and create exchange dialogues," said a CEE official. "Youth voices will be incorporated in the global COP to be held in Morocco this year."
The events will include discussion on the technological 'frog jump' from traditional sustainable lifestyle to modern sustainable lifestyle.
