Charges framed against Salman, six others

Charges were framed today against film actors Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam, Sonali Bendre and two others by the Judicial Magistrate Dalpat Singh Raj Purohit here in a blackbuck poaching case.

All accused were present when the charges were read out to the accused. The case relates to the poaching of two blackbucks at Kankani village on the night of October 1, 1998.

Against the main accused, Salman Khan, charges were framed under the provisions of the Wildlife Protection Act, which bans poaching of blackbucks and Section 147 of the Indian Penal Code (unlawful assembly). — PTI
