Forest officials today seized skin of three leopards at Rairangpur in Odisha's Mayurbhanj district and arrested eight persons, allegedly involved in poaching.
"We have seized skin of three leopards and arrested eight poachers," a forest department officer said.
He said it is suspected that the leopards were killed inside the Similipal Sanctuary some days ago by the eight accused.
More facts could be revealed after interrogation of the poachers.
Forest officials also seized two motorbikes used in transporting the leopard skin, the officer said.
