The Assam government has stepped up efforts to stop rhino poaching in Kaziranga.
Addressing a press conference in Guwahati on Sunday, chief minister Tarun Gogoi said that apart from imparting training for forest guards, they would soon procure sophisticated weapons to deal with the poachers who have been striking the Kaziranga National Park.
“Rhino poaching must be stopped. We are here to stop it,” said the chief minister after he was caught in a barrage of controversy and criticism across the state.
