Poachers kill rhino in Manas park

GUWAHATI: In yet another incident of poaching, forest official in Assam's Manas National Park found a female rhino, with its horn missing, from the Bhuyanpara range in the eastern part of the park on Tuesday evening. This is the sixth rhino killed in the park since 2011 when the park obtained the World Heritage Site title. The Bhuyanapara range area is amongst the highly encroached area of the park. Even NDFB hardliners militants are active in the bordering areas too.
