ITANAGAR: With climate change posing threats globally, a three-day interactive training on mitigating climate change through integrated farming system (IFS) was organized by the Dirang-based Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) at Sangti village in West Siang district.

The training, which concluded on Sunday, was sponsored by the National Initiative on Climate Resilient Agriculture. It aimed at creating awareness among local farmers about the adverse impact of climate change, a press release said here on Monday.

Director of National Research Centre on Yak (NRCY) S M Deb explained to the farmers about the ways to minimize the effects of climate change on agriculture and allied sectors.

While urging the KVK team to conduct more such training camps, Deb assured all possible support from the NRCY for the betterment of the farming community of the district.
