The Times of India , Wednesday, July 03, 2013
Correspondent :
India and Mauritius will co-host a ministerial level economic and business conference (EBC) in that country July 4-5.

The conference is titled 'Deepening Economic Linkages for Balanced, Inclusive and Sustainable Growth' and is supported by FICCI.

The Indian team will be led by Anand Sharma, minister for commerce and industry. He will accompany a business delegation that includes FICCI president Naina Lal Kidwai and vice president Jyotsna Suri.

India is current chair of the Indian Ocean Rim Association for Regional Cooperation (IOR-ARC). The theme of this conference reflects the mandate of IOR-ARC in a world where countries face common challenges of food security, unemployment, depleting water resources and climate change.

Ministers from 20 member countries will be accompanied by policy makers, businessmen and captains of industry.
