Sand mafia stop river

Ganj Basoda, Oct 24 Some persons who are involved in illegal sand mining made a hurdle in other contractors way who are real deserving contractors. They have dug the path from the legal contractors run their tractors trolley and take out sand.

In this way illegal land mafia want that contractors may cancel their lease from mining department officers so that their illegal mining may continue from Nivodia Ghat.

Jitendra Singh and Durga Singh Raghuwanshi have taken order for mining at Nivodia Ghat under order No 260 of lease bid but the land mafia who are doing this illegal work for many years with the help of officers of Mining department.

Every year the administration is going into loss of lakhs of rupees. And officers of mining department were taking advantage of this illegal mining. When the administration called bids for this area it got income of Rs five lakhs. It seems that the officers do not want to give benefit to the administration.

Land mafia stopped the way which was sanctioned in bid. The Mining officers did not take any action against the accused. Whereas report of illegal digging has been registered at the police station. Due to disturbance in way of place where the contractors have taken land on lease.

Now the contractors are unable to transport sand from this path. The contractor has complained to this district collector, high officials of mining department, SDM and police department. Even after complaint the administration did not take any action against the accused.

What may be the reason but in future in the mining work it would be difficult to call bid from the contractors. They would abstain from bid. Deputy chairman of Janpad Nateran , Durga Singh Raghuwanshi said that, near the bridge of Betwa , who dig illegally transport the sand at night.

Many complaints have been given to the concerning officers. But no one paid any heed over the matter. The officers seem to hand in gloves with these land mafia. This illegal mining work is going on for years and administration face loss of revenue of lakhs of rupees due to negligence of the officers.
