The normally unflappable Jim Prentice is upset.
It's surprising given that the environment minister doesn't get upset very often.
Despite facing a lot of criticism in his portfolio, Prentice is normally calm and cool in a lawyerly sort of way.
Until today.
When he read the report issued by the National Roundtable on the Environment and the Economy and saw that Canada was ranked 6th among G8 countries for its efforts on climate change.
Prentice doesn't agree with how the G8 countries were compared. He is demanding a meeting with the roundtable to talk about the report.
Incidently, when I interviewed the chair of the roundtable, Bob Page, he was actually quite complimentary about the federal government's efforts on climate change and thinks Canada will move up in the ranking in the future.
