Call to fight air pollution

HYDERABAD: The Environment Protection Training and Research Institute (EPTRI) has called for integrated strategies to fight air pollution. Mr S.V. Prasad, Director-General of EPTRI, said that all the departments concerned should be involved to evolve an integrated strategy.

Addressing a workshop for policy makers at the institute on Friday, he said that the institute had conducted a study of integrated environmental strategies with the support of the United States Agency for International Development.

The workshop was aimed at presenting the policymakers of the State with a roadmap to reduce the negative effects of air pollution on the environment, human health and economic development in and around the twin cities.
