Endangering wildlife

Several schemes for wildlife conservation are being run and a lot of amount is also being spent on them. But, even after this the wildlife could not be protected properly. Their number is decreasing continuously and list of endangered species is increasing. First of all lions, tigers and leopards came into this list and the day is not far when crow would also be in this list.

These species are now becoming extinct. Scavengers of jungles have become so less that special schemes are being prepared to protect them. It came into light all of a sudden in Sariska Tiger Reserve Forest in Rajasthan that there was no tiger there. The Prime Minister rushed there and the reserve is once again being filled with tigers. However, the poachers' activities are also on in the same manner as the wildlife protection schemes are being run. There should be provision of hanging or lifetime imprisonment in case of killing of wildlife.

Presently the sentence of wildlife killing is not proper according to the crime. Killing of hippopotamus is on in Kaziranga sanctuary, Assam. Recently Kanjars were found poaching deers with the help of dogs in the jungles of Shajapur district in MP. A case of poaching of Sambhar came into light in Balaghat. Dolphin, alligators, crocodiles, turtles and some other animals are endangered in Chambal river area. The fishermen involved in sand mining indulge in poaching of these animals. Water animals' area has been prepared for different species in around 435km area of Chambal river but number of these water animals is decreasing day by day.

Kanha National Sanctuary and Chambal river water sanctuary have prominent place in tiger conservation and water animal protection in Madhya Pradesh. Chambal river is deep as well as without pollution; so all types of water animals like to live here. This region at one time was infamous for being the den of bandits but now it is known for the presence of different species of water animals.
