BAHRAICH: The terror of tigers has spread in more than half a dozen districts of the state. The slackness of forest employees is the main factor behind it. Now the entire forest machinery is making efforts to push them back to the forest but no joint workplan has been chalked out in this connection.

The month November to January is the 'Mating' time for the tigers during which they live in pair and mutually prepare a reserved area and chase out other tigers if they enter their area. DFO SP Singh agrees that due to mutual tussle, tigers reach plains and afterwards stray towards dwelling areas.

The other reason behind it is the poaching, and on not getting the specified area these tigers move to nearby fields where vacant fields are the sanctuary of boars. Boars are the main habitat of tigers.
