Belgaum: The people of Londa in Khanapur taluk have threatened to block the Belgaum-Goa National Highway 4A on December 23 if the district administration failed to concede their demand to find stop pollution caused by toxic discharges allegedly from Kundil Sponge Iron Plant Ltd. In a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner J. Ravishankar here on Monday, a delegation led by Shahikant R. Savant, Chimanrao G. Banekar, and Swati M. Sutar said the people had been facing health hazards because of water and air pollution.
