Youth network for climate

KOCHI: The hazards of climate change and the dangerous lifestyle of mankind that has led to the change is slowly dawning on society, perhaps. A Delhi-based non-governmental organisation has taken up the initiative to form a network of youths who are going to be voices of the country in the next decade.

Calling it the Indian Youth Climate Network, its Kerala chapter was launched at the CMS College, Kottayam, and soon units in Kochi and other cities will be launched. The network is not limited to colleges, said Santhosh Thannikat, coordinator for the State Young people can participate in the leadership training programme at Kottayam, on October 28 or at Sacred Heart College, Kochi, on November 2.
