Mr Sukhdeep Singh Bajwa, who caught Mr Puneet Goel, SDM, in the peacock poaching case has been re-appointed honorary wildlife warden of the district for two years. The notification in this regard was issued by the government on Thursday.

Mr Bajwa was earlier declined extension as the wildlife warden due to the strong opposition of the state’s bureaucracy a member of which was caught poaching by him.

Mr Bajwa has been re-appointed especially on the orders of the Chief Minister, Capt Amarinder Singh.
