Amid growing fears about global warning, a two-day international conference on climate change and its adverse consequences on development of countries like India will begin here on Thursday.

The conference will bring together top academics, policy makers and global experts to discuss the magnitude of climate-related risks and the need for adopting a coherent climate adaptation strategy to offset negative consequences of such a change.

The conference is being jointly organised by the MoEF, the European Commission, the World Bank and a host of other organisations. — TNS
