Children give eco conservation message

Bhopal, June 16: The Regional Museum of Natural History Bhopal is organising a summer camp from June 5, the International day of Environment onwards. 35 students of class 8, 9 and 10 from the different schools of Bhopal are participating in the camp. Children were given detailed information on environment related subjects in a very interesting manner. Accordingly they were exposed to testing of air pollution, visiting the museum, water purification, snake our friend, Solid Waste management, Pasteurisation, Industrial effluents management, environment journalism, and environment friendly games. Children participated in all these with great enthusiasm. On 15th June, a workshop was organised on the ways of spreading the message about environment protection among the people through the medium of street play. The Secretary of the drama troop Gopal Dubey taught the children how to enact a street play. The theme selected for this was 'Paryavaran Chetna'. In this, the questions like, 'what is environment', 'How to keep it safe', 'How we are destroying the precious gifts of nature', 'What are the reasons for the pollution' were addressed.

Another street play, "Swachh Paryavaran, Swasth Jeevan" addressed environment related messages including We should aim at clean environment so that the human beings animals, birds and other can enjoy the gifts of the nature and lead a healthy life. It is the responsibility and duty of every citizen to protect the environment from pollution. The last leg of the summer session is a mature camp at Kana National Park. For this, the participants will be proceeding by bus on 16th night towards Kana National Park.
