Campaign against rhino poaching

| GUWAHATI, July 27 - The Human Rights and Anti-Corruption Forum (HRACF) will start a massive signature campaign against killing of rhinos in Assam. This signature campaign is part of the drafting of Rhino Protection Bill by the HRACF drafting committee, said HRACF Assam State general secretary Amitabh Sharma.
According to Sharma, since killing of the rhino for its horn and other uses has acquired international proportions, it is clear that the State government and the Environment and Forest Department can no longer fight this menace alone. In order to create massive public awareness, the HRACF will launch a nationwide signature campaign.
Sharma further said that HRACF would shortly publish a white paper on corruption rampant in various government departments in Assam.
