Pana Education Trust, Mangaluru, has organised “Good Air Campaign” for Mangaluru schools to mark the World Earth Day celebrations on April 22 on its campus, behind Mangaluru International Airport.
The event, for which The Hindu is the media partner, offers a day-full of activities, including competitions, activities and workshops for school children up to Class 10 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. It is open for all students, teachers, parents and environment enthusiasts.
A release here said it is a whole-day excursion filled with fun, interactive activities presented by environmental organisations. The event is bound to kindle curiosity among children about preserving the environment through enhancing their knowledge.
The competitions include quiz, elocution, painting, singing and mud kabaddi, while activities include green campus tour, idea board, film screening, map one’s emission, footprint and workshops feature air pollution, solid waste management and water conservation.
The event is free of charge and pick up facility for children has been arranged at Kadri Park as well as Bajpe at 7.30 a.m on April 22. The organisers have also arranged for food and other facilities.
