"It would be wrong to say that the police is looking for him. He has been given time till day after tomorrow. Paperwork is on and conversations are on," Saif Ali Khan told NDTV.

Asked whether the entire poaching controversy was blown out of proportion, he said, "no sir, new is news. Media does its job. We do our job. As long as the truth comes out and justice is done ... Is what we are interested in." The actor refused to comment any further on the issue but said he was concerned about his father.

Earlier in the day, Punjab and Haryana High Court issued notice to Haryana government to produce all documents pertaining to the poaching case before it on Friday and refused to grant interim bail to the former Indian cricket captain Pataudi.
