Pataudi and his accomplices incommunicado

Former Indian Cricket Captain Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and his six accomplices facing charges of allegedly poaching endangered black buck remained in-communicado on Wednesday.Police has given notices to Pataudi and six others till June 10 to appear before it and will wait for them to join the investigation, Superintendent of Police Hanief Qureshi said.Police will wait for their surrender till June 10 and only after this raids will be conducted to arrest them from their possible hideouts, the SP said.While police has seized the gypsy allegedly used in the crime, it is yet to recover another car from Gurgaon, he said.There has been no intimation of the whereabouts of Pataudi and others, sources said.One of the alleged accused Madan Singh of Aurangpur village in this district was in judicial custody till June 13.Pataudi and seven of his accomplices have been charged under various sections of the Wildlife Protection Act and if found guilty could face a jail term of seven years and a fine of Rs 25,000.An FIR has been registered against them and Haryana police has seized the blue Maruti Gypsy on which the carcasses of a blackbuck and two rabbits, a rifle, a gun and some live cartridges were found near a wildlife sanctuary in Jhajjar last week.
