Scientists present papers at Bihar Science Congress

PATNA: Several papers on different aspects of science and technology were presented by academics and scientists drawn from different institutions on the second day of the three-day Bihar Science Congress being held at Shri Arvind Mahila College on Sunday.

Jitendra Kumar of Life Sciences Incubation Centre, Bangalore, delivered a lecture on 'Relevance of innovation and invention in life sciences'. B K Sharma of NIT Patna delivered a lecture on 'Matter and density fluctuation in solar system'. Santosh Kumar of College of Commerce talked about 'Dilute magnetic semiconductor and its applications in electronics and medical science'.

Punam Kumari of JNU, Delhi, Puja Kumari of University of Allahabad and Gopal Sharma, scientist, Zoological Survey of India, presented papers on latest researches in biological sciences. Pradhan Parthsarthi of Central University of Bihar and Mahesh Koleka of IIT Patna delivered a talk on 'Climate change and electronics'. Bal Gangadhar Prasad of B N College, Patna, delivered a talk on 'Mathematical science and its importance for the 21st century'.

College principal Asha Singh welcomed the guests. Science for Society president S P Verma presided.
