Anand Sharma to inauguratetalks on business ethics today

Union minister for commerce and industry Anand Sharma will inaugurate the third international conference on “Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility” at Cordia Group of Educational Institutes, Sanghol, on Saturday.

At the conference, Prof Ved Parkash, chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC), will deliver the key note address.

As many as 60 academicians from India and abroad will be presenting their research work at the conference that will be held on November 16 and 17.

The conference aims at bringing different stakeholders on a single platform to catalyse debate on the issue of business ethics and corporate social responsibility in the backdrop of the recent global financial crisis, global warming, climate change, dwindling resources and the growth of global population.

Prof Stan Scott, vice-chancellor (V-C) envoy to India, head of school of electronics, electrical engineering and computer science, Queen's University of Belfast, the UK; Prof Tom Fraser former pro vice-chancellor and incharge of Magee Campus, University of Ulster, the UK; Balvinder Shukla, V-C, Amity University, will be the guests of honor on the occasion.
