VARANASI: A two-day national seminar on sustainable water resources management in era of climate change is going to be organised at Rajiv Gandhi South campus Barkachha of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) on January 10 and 11. The seminar will be organised by the Institute of Environmental and Sustainable Development.
Talking to reporters on Tuesday, the organising secretary Kavita Shah, said the seminar would be inaugurated by Padmashri Chandi Prashad Bhatt, an eminent environmentalist. The focus of the seminar will be on water as a natural resource and its sustainable use in industry, urban sector, agriculture and health challenges.
The aim of the seminar is to bring together students and research scholars from within and outside the BHU campus and have deliberations on the topic of water scarcity and its management. More than 200 participants from different institutes from across the country are expected to participate in the seminar.
