Tiger poachers being brought to Nagpur

NAGPUR: Six of the nine tiger poachers, who were arrested by Melghat forest officials from Bahelia camps in BanerFata in Pune, will be brought to the city on Wednesday.

The poachers have been identified as Nirafal, his wife Minar, son Surival, Lupistan, Arjun, Ujiyal, Nachbai and Wireless. Minar had safely transported the tiger skin and bones from Melghat to Amdi Fata near Ramtek. The accused will be produced before JMFC RB Raja in the evening.

Four poachers Mamru, Chika, Yarlen and Barsul are already in magisterial custody ( MCR) for their involvement in poaching a tiger near Masondi in Ghatang range (East Melghat). Sources said a team led by investigating officer (IO) H Virsen has left for Paratwada to bring the poachers here.
