As part of the ‘Seize Your Power’ campaign to mitigate global warming and climate change, the greatest catastrophe faced by mankind, WWF& #8208;India have announced a ‘Renewable energy caption contest’ to invite attractive captions on the theme of renewable energy from college-level students.
The winning captions will be used in all the posters of its campaign. WWF’s recently-launched global campaign titled ‘Seize your power’ is aimed at popularising renewable energy and encouraging the masses to think about a shift from fossil fuel-based energy to renewables. It is taking up public campaigns using hoardings, posters, stickers etc to get this message to the masses during the next week.
WWF is looking for five captions on Wind, Solar, Hydro, Biomass and Geothermal. The captions should to be in single line, but technically correct and in simple, good English. They should be framed in the India/ Kerala context. College-level students who are interested can send their creative and relevant captions through email to wwfklso@gmail.com. The last date is October 23, 2013, 5 pm. The first, second and third prize winners will get cash prizes of Rs 3,000, Rs 2,000 and Rs 1,000 each. Contact 9447386978 for further details.
