More rain on cards

LUDHIANA: After Wednesday showers, which came as a happy surprise, city residents could expect more rain in the coming days, say the officials of the School of Climate Change and Agricultural Meteorology, Punjab Agricultural University.

Providing much-required respite, Wednesday's rain came as bliss for many as they drove in their cars through the city roads, clicking pictures and having fun. KK Gill, assistant agrometeorologist at School of Climate Change and Agricultural Meteorology, says this rain was caused due to the western disturbances that tend to have an effect for two to three days. "Monsoon has withdrawn long back and this post monsoon rainfall is usually due to the western disturbances. There is a possibility that it might rain today or tomorrow", she says.
