The Times Of India's Earthcare Awards recognise actions and innovations that help communities adapt to climate change impacts.
Started in 2008, the Awards have been ably won by grass-root level organisations, state departments and corporate houses for a staggering range of ideas and practices: from using pine needles to generate power to using coir as separators.
This year's edition of the awards, like last year, will review approaches to protect land and water resources, reduce GHG emissions and encourage energy efficiency in the Saarc countries.
