It is proposed to utilise the services of departmental elephants to strengthen anti-poaching measures in the Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park, according to the Nilgiris Wildlife Warden Rakesh Kumar Dogra.

In a press note on Wednesday, he stated that conservation measures were being stepped up taking into account the presence of a large number of towns and villages near the sanctuary.
