Conference on environment management

PANAJI: Chief Minister Digambar Kamat will inaugurate the eighth “National Greentech conference on environment management” on Wednesday.

The theme of the three-day meet organised by Greentech Foundation, a New Delhi-based organisation established to promote education, training, research and practical aspects of safety and environment protection, is “Climate change—issues and concerns”.

About 250 delegates are expected to take part and present their papers during the meet, according to Kamleshwar Sharan, president of Greentech Foundation, here on Tuesday.

The conference will discuss and deliberate issues and concerns on climate change, and issues of sustainable development and opportunities and responses of the Indian industry vis-À-vis climate change, he said.
