Chennai Bird Race to be held on Sunday |

CHENNAI: The 11th edition of the Chennai Bird Race, organised by the Madras Naturalists' Society (MNS), will be held on Sunday.
A large numbers of experienced, amateur and budding birdwatchers will spend a whole day spotting and identifying birds in an attempt to record as many species of birds as possible, said MNS president K V Sudhakar.
Teams of four will fan out to visit various birding spots in Chennai. Each team will consists of one expert and three novices.
Sudhakar and director of Institute of Bird Studies (Rishi Valley) V Santharam are the coordinators of the race.
There won't be prizes as the race is meant for sensitising participants to the environment around them.
