Spotted deer injured after being attacked by dogs
Correspondent :
A spotted deer sustained serious injuries when stray dogs attacked it on the outskirts of Pamukunta village of Rajapetmandal in the district on Wednesday morning. The deer had strayed into an agriculture field from nearby Jalsingaram reserve forest block.

Locals rescued the heavily-bleeding deer and informed the forest officials about the incident. Forest Range Officer M. Satyanarayanamma said they shifted the deer to Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad for further treatment.

When asked whether the deer came out of forest in search of water, Ms. Satyanarayanamma said there was enough water in the forest since the area witnessed heavy rains in the past one week.
