Vijayawada: Foreigners consume a peg once a day but people finish a bottle at a time here, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said here on Sunday.
Speaking at Gollapudi at a function to mark World Environment Day, he asked people not to harass their wives after consuming liquor. People should plant saplings instead, he said.
Many people play cards and some of them consumer liquor when free. He urged people not to harass family members with these activities and not waste money on them.
At another meeting at a convention centre as part of the Navanirmana Deeksha programme, Mr Naidu said that YSRC leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was behaving badly. People should throw him out of politics, the Chief Minsiter said.
He asked the rank and file of Telegu Desam to maintain peace even when Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy uses un-parliamentary language.
