Students, audience vow to save environment

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board (MPPCB) in collaboration with Bhopal Nursing Home Association celebrated the World Environment Day at Tatya Tope stadium on Saturday. Students did aerobics and gave Mallkhamb performances on 'Swachhparyavaran, SwasthSharir' theme.

Students across the stadium along with entrepreneurs, employees of BHEL and several other groups from across the city waved flags and placards, urging every visitor to save the environment from pollution. National Green Tribunal (NGT) judicial member Dalip Singh was the chief guest of the function.MPPCB chairman A A Mishra urged students and audience help protect animals species, which are on the verge of extinction. Green cover should also be preserved so that we can give better future to future generations. Justice Singh urged students to conserve water and work for conservation of water bodies and insisted on imparting education about the same at school-level.
