Plantation drive at Gulzar Group of Institutes

LUDHIANA: Gulzar Group of Institutes Khanna Ludhiana organized a plantation drive at its campus. Various competitions like collage making and poster making competition were also organized.

A K Jain, Executive Director, Punjab and Sind Bank, inaugurated the venture by planting a tree and said that "we should be concerned to save our environment. He further added that it is high time to save the earth, otherwise the coming generation will have to face dire consequences. He further promoted the usage of paper bags and make city plastic free".

Gurkirat Singh, Executive Director, said at the moment that saplings should be planted and taken care of which would not only beautify the surroundings but also lead to a greener, more eco-friendly and pollution-free environment. He further added the main aim of organizing this drive was to make the students aware about the hazards of pollution and the need for planting more trees so as to save our earth. With an eye on sensitizing people about the dangers being faced due to pollution, students took a pledge to make the city plastic free.
