Yinnan Zoo authorities confirmed that two of their peacocks have died of shock after some Chinese tourists plucked their feather and picked them up for posing for photographs.
Tourists were seen taking pictures with the peacocks at the Yunnan Zoo which is also known as Yunnan Wild Animal Park in Kunming, according to mainland media reports.
The zoo confirmed that out of the two peacocks at least one of them died on February 12 due to the "violent behaviour" of the tourists in the zoo.
The cause of the death of the second peacock has not been identified yet, the investigations are still on. However, the park authorities have said that the other one also died due to the shock after forcefully being held by the tourists while they posed for pictures.
