Center for Environmental Communication (CEC

Located on the Cook College Campus, brings together university investigators to provide a social science perspective to environmental problem-solving. CEC (formerly the Environmental Communication Research Program) has gained international recognition for responding to environmental communication dilemmas with research, training, and public service. Established in 1986, CEC is jointly sponsored by the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station and the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy.


The Environmental Communication Resource Center (ECRC)

It was established in 1996 as a resource center for information, research and discussion concerning Environmental Communication. ECRC is housed in the School of Communication at Northern Arizona University, located in Flagstaff, Arizona at an elevation of 7,000 feet beneath the majestic San Francisco Peaks. Founders and co-directors of the Center are professors Lea J. Parker and C. Brant Short. The mission of ECRC is to promote scholarship, pedagogy and public service in all aspects of Environmental Communication.

The Society of Environmental Journalists is a nonprofit educational organization founded in 1990 by a group of award winning reporters. SEJ's mission is to advance public understanding of environmental issues by improving the quality, accuracy and visibility of environmental reporting. SEJ's membership of more than 1,300 includes journalists working for newspapers, television and radio stations, broadcast and cable networks, magazines, newsletters, wire services and photo agencies, as well as educators and students.

Focus of the site is to provide information to viewers of film, we have also focused on including resources and news for filmmakers.  With the advent of the Internet, the lines between what information will be of interest to filmmakers and what will be of interest to viewers and fans, is beginning to converge.  Some resource that deal in technical and financial aspects of filmmaking will always be more relevant to filmmakers, but most film related press coverage is relevant to those who make, and in the case of documentary films, those who must pursue opportunities to see and understand the films.  This site attempts to be the source for filmmakers of documentary films.
